A question from a Japanese Protestant believer to Israel, the land of my cultural roots

You say you were chosen by God, but aren’t you actually worshipping the idols of “your nation” or “hatred”?

Born in Japan, far from Jerusalem, into a Buddhist family and later becoming a Protestant, I learned from you what it means to follow God.

That is why I ask: Isn’t idolatry actually the act of making God serve human will?
